This five-floor, pet-friendly hotel has 179 all non-smoking rooms, where white and cream textiles create a glamorous, dreamy scene. Rich, earthy elements include hand-carved mahogany headboards, Egyptian cotton bedding, stone floors and marble bathrooms with Roman spa baths. Guests can step out onto their private balcony and step into a 105-degree Japanese soaking tub (a one-time fee applies). In-room 42-inch, plasma TVs and internet are additional pluses. Down in the lobby, Amazon ironwood, sculptured plaster ceilings crafted by renowned artisans and stained-glass windows by Louis Comfort Tiffany showcase a labor of love. Up on the roof, high life is in full swing at the resort-style pool with draped cabanas fit for celebrities and VIPs.
